Have An Easier Life With Your High School Equivalency Diploma
Mary was a young woman who was in her senior year in high school when she discovered that she was going to have a baby. She had to drop out of school to have her baby. Luckily, her parents were very supportive of Mary and did what they could do to help her out. However, they insisted that Mary get back to school after the baby was born and get an education. They did not want Mary to depend on the state to take care of her child through welfare.
After the baby was born, Mary looked into various programs. She found that she could get a GED, which is a general education diploma, but it would take her some time. On top of that, the testing facility was a bit further than she would like to drive. The only dates that they had open were on Saturdays and her mother and father both worked on this day. Who would watch the baby? Mary thought she was out of luck until she discovered that she could bet her high school equivalency diploma right from the comfort of her own home and online.
At first she was a bit skeptical. She talked to her parents about this and they also thought it sounded strange. But when they read up on it, it made a lot of sense. Mary could get a high school equivalency diploma from an accredited high school right from the comfort of her own home. As Mary was busy looking after her baby most of the time, this made more sense. Mary signed up for the test and took a few brush up courses and she was ready to go.
She picked a time when she could concentrate on the test and took it from home. She passed the test and was awarded a high school equivalency diploma. As a result, she got a job at the local bank which would only hire high school graduates. The job did not pay that much, but the bank was willing, if Mary wanted, to help her pay for college.
Not only was Mary able to get a decent job, but the bank was willing to allow her to go to college on their dime. Mary took them up on their offer. She relied a lot on her parents and found care for her baby, but she was able to do it. After four grueling years, she had a college degree.
Today, Mary has a good job at the same bank where she is the branch manager. She and her boyfriend got married after he completed college as well. The baby is doing well and is about to start kindergarten. Mary is eternally grateful for the chance to get her high school equivalency diploma as well a the help that her parents gave her in her time of need.
Had Mary made another choice, she might be still struggling. Fortunately, she made the right choice, got her high school equivalency diploma and she is having an easier life.
